MINUTES
Regular Meeting of June 22, 2011 at 7:30 pm
Council Chambers, Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT
Commissioners Present: Bryan, Hammar, Pieragostini and Salling
Staff Present: Rob Sibley, Deputy Director of Planning and Land use; and Tammy Hazen, Clerk
Commissioner Salling convened the meeting at 7:30 pm.
PENDING APPLICATIONS
IW MOD #06-01 95 & 99 Church Hill Road. Application related to the extension of a previously approved modification of a permit to construct affordable housing.
Mr. Sibley reviewed the map with the commissioners and explained that this is an application for an extension of a previously approved modification of this permit. He explained that wetlands are to the northeast and northwest of the property. It was originally approved with conditions by zoning and then a modification was approved to allow a secondary access. The applicant is asking for an extension until March 15, 2014. After discussion:
Commissioner Hammar motioned to approve the application with all conditions which exist on Inland Wetlands permit IW #06-01 and Inland Wetlands permit MOD IW #06-01 and
- The approved plans are “Edona Commons”, 95 Church Hill Road, Newtown, CT, dated November 29, 2006, revised January 18, 2007 Scale 1” = 30’ with associated support documents;
- The approved permit extension is valid until March 15, 2014.
Motion seconded by Commissioner Pieragostini. The motion was carried unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS
Approval of Minutes - Commissioner Pieragostini motioned to approve the minutes of June 8, 2011. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bryan. The minutes were approved as amended.
Mr. Sibley stated that the July 13, 2011 Inland Wetlands meeting will most likely be cancelled.
Commissioner Pieragostini motioned to adjourn at 7:44 pm, which was seconded by Commissioner Bryan. Motion carried unanimously.
